  • Position Summary

    WESTMED Practice Partners is currently seeking a Client Relations Specialist to join the Charlotte team. The Client Relations Specialist will be responsible for handling patient complaints/inquiries and adhering to departmental workflow policies and procedures. This process includes assessing, investigating and responding to complaints/inquires received from patients, their representatives, and regulatory agencies.

    Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

    • Handle patient complaints submitted by patients, department of health, department of insurance and other regulatory bodies
    • Ensure patient complaints are resolved within WESTMED and regulatory time frames
    • Work collaboratively with internal departments to resolve patient complaints within mandated timelines
    • Communicate and correspond directly with patients and regulatory agencies verbally and in writing
    • Assist in the compilation of report data
    • Participate in the QA Audit Program; carry-out performance measurement through call monitoring and evaluation of contact center agents to ensure compliance with WESTMED policies and procedures
    • Participate in special assignments as needed

    Required Qualifications

    • Knowledge in HIPAA compliance
    • Knowledge of medical terminology
    • Ability to respond to regulatory inquiries to ensure compliance within state laws
    • Strong independent and critical thinking skills
    • Ability to accurately track complaint data
    • Demonstrated follow through skills; ability to handle a complaint from receipt to resolution
    • Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and individuals
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Ability to work effectively and efficiently within time constraints
    • Outstanding Customer Service Skills
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate/correspond clearly, professionally and courteously in writing and verbally
    • Education/Certifications/Licenses: Bachelor’s degree or 1- 3 years of experience of related experience in medical field or health insurance + 1- 3 years of customer service experience
