  • Position Summary

    Westmed Medical Group has a new full time position for a licensed Nurse Practitioner in the Dermatology department at the White Plains, New York office location.  This position works in collaboration with a busy dermatologist.  Flexibility is required for the schedule which will incorporate shadowing the physician during initial first few months and early morning and late scheduled hours and one 1/2 Saturday/month.

    Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

    The Nurse Practitioner will see follow-up patients and some consultations for new patients (limited at first).  Common medical treatments and procedures can include warts, rash, acne, excimer laser, vbeam, biopsies, skin checks, some cosmetic procedures, allergic reactions, eczema, hair loss, and hyperhidrosis. The Nurse Practitioner will see their own patients after shadowing with the physician. 

    Required Qualifications

    - Current New York State licensure as a Nurse Practitioner

    - Experience in dermatology preferred

    - Must be Board Certified

    - Strong computer skills, EMR experience preferred

    - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

    - Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
