Position Summary

Westmed Medical Group is currently seeking a full-time RN Clinical Site Director for the Ridge Hill and Boyce Thompson office locations in Yonkers, New York.  The Clinical Site Director has ultimate clinical department accountability and final budgetary accountability for all phases of the business operations within the assigned location. The Clinical Site Director actively promotes a consistently and superior clinical care in accordance with all regulations, best practice and scope of practice, as well as a positive patient experience throughout the patient visit.  Hires and develops clinical management and clinical staff at all levels and ensures a proper succession plan is in place for key positions.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

  • Serves as the senior most clinical operations leader of the assigned building/location. Actively manages all clinical staff within the assigned location. Is responsible for all clinical personnel decisions including but not limited to hiring of top talent, the development of a skilled and motivated workforce, and all areas of employee relations and retention. Champion’s employee engagements and takes action to celebrate successes and implement action plans to address problem areas.
  • Provides leadership to Clinical Managers and Patient Experience Managers in ensuring proper staffing plan to ensure clinical quality and Overtime expense management practices are in place.
  • Provides leadership in ensuring understanding of ACO/Medical Home requirements, initiatives and education.
  • Provides direction, facilitates and coordinates all internal and external clinical services, departments, and vendors, who support and interface with clinical operations within the assigned building/location.
  • Ensures proper clinical policies and procedures are in place and is able to ‘see-around corners’ to identify potential areas of risk or which require added efficiencies. Is adept at ‘managing-up’ by pro-actively addressing clinical issues and communicating critical areas to the Senior Director of Clinical Operations before they potentially become a significant issue.
  • Overall accountability with regards to the annual clinical operational and capital budget process; ensures budgets are aligned with organizational goals and objectives while effectively maintaining physicians’ practice inventory and par levels.
  • Adheres to all WMG Compliance program policies and procedures.
  • Serves as a point of escalation to the physician population within the respective building/location. Engages the physicians appropriately and accordingly in areas related to the clinical management of their respective practice(s).
  • Other duties as assigned by Senior Director of Clinical Operations or requested by executive leadership.

  • Monitors Physician and clinical staff dashboard progression
  • Proactively addresses Press Ganey deficiencies related to clinical care by developing, implementing and monitoring a remedial course of action.
  • Promotes a culture of confidence, integrity, pride and passion in the workplace.
  • Monitors staff plan compliance in a consistent manner and takes corrective action.
  • Champions and engages staff to adhere to the standards of excellence in the Westmed Patient Experience Policy.
  • Ensures team and individual staff meetings are occurring on a timely basis; provides information as appropriate to staff at all levels.

Required Qualifications

  • Current New York State licensure as a Registered Nurse
  • 5+ Years of experience as an RN
  • 3 Years of management experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Knowledge of medical organizational policies, procedures and systems
  • Knowledge of ACO/Medical Home requirements
  • Knowledge of fiscal management systems and techniques
  • Knowledge of Human Resource management practices
  • Skill in planning, organizing, delegating and supervising
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills necessary to build staff, administrative, physician and community relationships
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
