Position Summary

WESTMED Medical Group has a new full time position for a Physical Therapy Aide in the Physical Therapy department. The PT Aide has many duties in a physical therapy environment that, help to make physical therapists more productive.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

  • To clean and organize work area and disinfect equipment after treatment.
  • Instruct, motivate, safeguard and assist patients practicing exercises and functional activities, under direction of medical staff
  • Secure patients into or onto therapy equipment, apply and remove hot/ cold packs, and remove patient from modalities
  • Change linens, such as bed sheets and pillow cases
  • Arrange treatment supplies to keep them in order

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma- required, Associates/ Bachelor's Degree- preferred


  • BLS Certification- highly desirable


  • Experience as a physical therapy aide in an orthopedic or chiropractic setting


  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written


  • Computer skills- knowledge of Centricity Business, EMR, MS Word, and Excel


  • Technical skills- knowledge of exercise and modality equipment used in a PT setting
