Position Summary

Westmed Medical Group is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for the Ridge Hill site located in Yonkers, NY. The schedule is Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.


The Maintenance Technician is responsible for general repairs and preventative maintenance of furniture, fixtures and equipment. The schedule is Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

  • Monitors the Facilities Work Order System and performs tasks as specified. Closes work orders after completion.
  • Performs routine and specific repairing of equipment, furniture, cabinetry and fixtures.
  • Installs, operates new equipment. Assembles, moves, and installs furniture and fixtures.
  • Repairs desks, file cabinets, chairs, furniture and fixtures. Touches up paint.
  • Replaces light bulbs and ballast.
  • Assist with interior space renovation projects (Light repair of walls, patching and painting, Cutting ceiling tiles, etc)
  • Responds to emergency equipment problems.
  • Keeps manager informed of any unsafe items or conditions.
  • Assist in regulating heating and cooling set points in accordance to established guidelines.
  • Responds to fire alarms according to established guidelines.
  • Assist with purchases of supplies, materials and tools in accordance to established guidelines.
  • During inclement weather assists with outside maintenance tasks such as shoveling and sanding.
  • Assist with general cleaning tasks. Ensures floors, walls and other building areas are free from dirt, dust, and other debris. Ensures outside trash containers are emptied.
  • Ensures the facility vehicles are maintained clean and reports repair needs. Completes related paperwork such fueling receipts and mileage reports.
  • Maintains the organization and cleanliness of the Facilities’ workshop
  • Maintains regular schedule and communicates any temporary changes to immediate supervisor.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned. 

Required Qualifications


  • Maintenance Tech skill set (Experienced in Plumbing, Carpentry, Electrical, etc.)
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Vocational school training certificates preferred
  • Valid NYS Drivers license
