Position Summary

Westmed Medical Group has a new part time position for a certified Echocardiogram Technologist in the Cardiology department.  Position schedule is Mondays 8am-5pm, Wednesdays 8am-5pm, Thursdays 8am-12pm & two (2) Saturdays per month 10am-2pm. This position will be based at our Rye, NY site, but will require ability to go to other office locations as needed.


Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities


  • Perform echo tests/stress echo test
  • Maintain and clean equipment
  • Print echo schedules
  • Contact patients to confirm appointments, verify patient has received their instructions prior to testing
  • Answer patient questions regarding testing
  • Create phone notes in electronic medical record system and send to providers
  • Gather pertinent documentation for ICAEL reaccreditation

Required Qualifications


  • Current RDS or RDCS certification
  • Minimum of 3 years of Echo Tech experience is required
  • Experience with GE equipment a strong plus
  • Strong computer skills, EMR experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to travel to multiple office locations
  • Flexibility in schedule and hours required based on department needs
