Position Summary

Westmed Medical Group is currently seeking a full time Nurse Practitioner for Pain Management at the Stamford, Connecticut office location . The NP, in collaboration with the interventional spine and pain management physician/spine team, will engage in independent and collaborative care of patients in acute and chronic pain. Position schedule is Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm with flexibility in hours/schedule required and on-call rotation done at home by phone.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

The advanced practice provider will assess and treat patients with chronic pain and stable long term opiate therapy. Candidates should understand the role of urine toxicology screening, opioid rotation and monitoring of active online opioid databases. The advanced practice provider will be involved in interventional spine follow up, initiation of treatment, and examination of the cervical and lumbar spine.

Required Qualifications

  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in state of Connecticut
  • Board certification required
  • New graduates welcome to apply
  • Strong computer skills, EMR experience is a strong plus
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and handle fast paced environment
