Position Summary

WESTMED Practice Partners is currently recruiting for a Systems Analyst.  This position is involved in designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and supporting Internet/Intranet applications consistent with established specifications and business requirements.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for establishing system controls and performing quality assurance activities. Troubleshoot and resolve related system issues.
  • Expected to independently collect and analyze business requirements for moderately/complex/difficult projects, translate the requirements into technical specifications, and ensure that the end result reflect achieve
  • Identify system optimization and enhancements by working closely with vendors and other IT analysts in order to design and implement effective solutions. Serve as team lead on software version updates/upgrades for all sites
  • Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative technical solutions and strategies.
  • Analyzes, designs, codes, tests, and debugs applications.
  • Create test plans for moderately/complex/difficult projects, and conduct testing to ensure that the programs are functional
  • Follow all IT and product specific change management procedures and documentation for all development work completed.
  • Assist support personnel in resolving problems customers have with programs.
  • Participates in special projects, as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required in Computer Science/Information Systems or related discipline
  • 2-7 years of relevant technical experiences
  • Strong working knowledge and experience with technologies
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with limited supervision and provide accurate status reports.
  • Ability to integrate the business needs of the organization into system workflows.
  • Ability to understand how system changes will impact business workflows.
  • Where applicable, solid understanding of HTML
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL (MS-SQL, or PL/SQL, or MySQL, Cache-SQL) and Database Components
