Position Summary

WESTMED Medical Group is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with quality improvement experience in an acute setting for a part-time Clinical Quality Analyst position.  Schedule is about 16 hours per/week- schedule can be flexible.  This role is responsible for reviewing and summarizing the medical care related to an adverse clinical event, identifying areas for improvement and presenting this information to the Risk Management Committee.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

  • Accurately abstracts pertinent clinical information from medical records and prepares written summary of such
  • Facilitates review of clinical quality of care issues through investigation, tracking and initiation of provider interventions
  • Works effectively with WESTMED providers on clinical quality matters
  • Maintains accurate and timely database of all events
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related healthcare field, registered nurse licensure
  • Minimum of five years of clinical experience in nursing
  • Minimum of five years prior experience in quality improvement field
  • Demonstrated ability to apply clinical judgment in evaluating clinical events
